Would it make sense to obtain the new ABS actuator and attempt to install it myself BEFORE I take the car in for the brake job? If I already know that the actuator is bad, to have them install the front pads and do the bleeding procedure, only to have them tell me that the actuator is bad seems counterproductive... Having just dropped 5 grand into the car and timing belt procedure, I need to get this done as efficiently and economically as possible... while still making sure I have a way to work. At my present level of ability, that precludes doing it myself. My choice is between the Nissan dealer and a generic brake place. So I should flip a coin? I've advertised for a Z mechanic in Corpus Christi - I would *love* to find someone local who really knows this car...
